Claire likes contemporary interiors with a light, neutral, Scandi look. Dan prefers stronger colours and likes vintage. As well as zoning and planning the layout for flexibility, I needed to seamlessly combine the two styles. The living room architecture had low ceilings and a brick fireplace, helping to create character. I used a charcoal/dark green paint in the chimney recesses, a great background for vintage items, mirrors, paintings and simple wooden furniture. An unexpected wire frame chair with a sheepskin cover provides an unexpected eclectic, but contemporary element!
