This project had generous space, but the complex brief included many family activities, including homework, crafting, photography, play, yoga, social areas and eating! The family had an intriguing Swedish/Yorkshire background so creating a layered Scandi/Industrial theme worked really well.
The Scandi/Industrial decor worked on many levels, the furniture is tough and hard wearing for active families. All new items were wipeable and washable. The adults needed a quiet, sociable area by the fire, so the children's area was zoned at the other end of the room with an entertaining/eating area in the middle. Decor was Scandi neutral, with an industrial mix of lighting and furniture. A feature photographer's gallery on a long wall linked the whole room together.
"Struggling to pull together colours and family activities for a multi-purpose room, was really difficult, but Annie coached me towards a direction and strategy. I'm Swedish with photographer husband so the final Scandi/Industrial décor was perfect. I thoroughly recommend Annie if you don't want to engage a designer, but need some help"
