Jason's Croydon Terrace

Living room1.jpeg

Jason and partner Kerry-Anne had lived in their Croydon terrace for some years but had recently expanded with a large building project.  This included a wrap around two storey extension adding two extra bedrooms, a new kitchen and living room.  Jason contacted me to help finish the project with a colour palette and decor scheme which was acceptable to both Jason and Kerry Anne in their new open plan space.  Needless to say, Jason is into bold colours, Kerry-Anne prefers neutrals!

We used a taupe tonal scheme for the main decor throughout.  Providing a neutral background for the accent colours in the hallway and living room. Using the same colours to link the living room to the kitchen .  The family needed plenty of storage so we included a wall of floor to ceiling units cleverly disguising a hidden utility room door and the two fireplace recesses were also used for storage.  The light, spacious kitchen situated at the south facing end of the new open plan space had folding doors to the garden as well as additional daylight coming from the large overhead ceiling lantern.  Dining was well catered for with plenty of breakfast bar seating on the island together with a separate dining table.
