Karina's townhouse Wokingham
Annie did a fantastic job redesigning our family room and living room. Not having skills in interior design, working with Annie was definitely the best investment for a peace of mind! Annie understood our needs and lifestyle, was very creative, making the best use of the space and creating a stylish yet comfortable place. She created 3D visualisations, put together a colour palette for the whole house (great to have this sorted!), suggested wallpaper options, always making sure we were happy. A To be honest without her, I would have missed many opportunities for improvement. The presented images were beyond my expectations, and its so good to see the rooms from several angles. Annie helped me to push the boundaries and think outside the 'matchy-matchy' box, which is great! I now feel less concerned about exploring colours and patterns. So, without hesitation I recommend Annie to everyone searching for a high quality, fast and friendly interior designer! Thank you very much Annie, it was a pleasure!

this layout works hard!
Karina and husband Antonio, busy professionals with 2 year old Alice live in a 3 storey townhouse. After 2 years living with old decor and furniture its time to update. The family room and kitchen is used mostly at the end of the day as the family come together to cook, chat and play with Alice before bedtime.
The room is rectangular so it may seem obvious to place furniture on opposite sides, but this layout makes a rectangular room feel longer and narrower. Much better to create a square conversation area with seating for a more sociable feel. In Karina's room placing the main sociable seating by the French window makes a cosy sitting area. Planning space in relation to its function is key in to ensure it works for what you intend, in this case a cosy, conversational area.

These family room spaces work hard being used for dining, entertaining and playroom. From the playroom aspect, Karina wanted a soft pastel colour palette and we also introduced low profile casual seating for the sofa and dining chairs. The space is now flexible enough for a cosy family room during the day with plenty of toy storage and sociable space for evening entertainment. I also created Karina's main living room, but it was the family room, Karina was most concerned with and the family love it!
