Kent family house makeover

Bozena and Greg's 3 bedroom family home in Kent is currently having a major update. The couple love Scandi decor but also have a love of Moroccan style.  So the colour palette included dark blues, white and grey as the main neutrals, with terracotta and pinks as accents.    The living room was spacious but the original build was awkward as the room is L-shaped with an off-centre fireplace at one end of the room which made it difficult to plan the main seating area.  Should the sofa be placed at one end of the room or the other?  The kitchen was more straightforward, a new kitchen design and updated decor.

Other changes are an office for Bozena to do double duty as a guest room. We painted the window wall beside the counter top desk in a muted terracotta in an otherwise minimal space.  The family bathroom with its new bathroom suite had pale blue matt tiles and a dark blue window wall.  Other 1st floor changes were a knock-through into a second bedroom for a master bedroom ensuite with space for a dressing room.  The bathroom is a great space to experiment with Moroccan style and we included ethnic tiles and terracotta accessories and echoes of the sea with glossy Marine blue tiles.   Not forgetting Dominik who has a brand new bedroom constructed for him over the existing garage.  A individual, stylish family home!
