Young professional interior design City flat

Charlotte, a busy professional working and living in Bristol contacted me to help design a contemporary scheme for her new harbour side apartment. Starting with the living room we used understated,  contemporary furniture in a mix of white, black and walnut.  Charlotte was keen on mid blue, pale grey and pink accents throughout the flat.  We used the colour palette to define and zone separate areas in the open plan living room, dining area and kitchen.

Charlotte works from home on a regular basis, so optional work areas had to be factored in. For flexibility we created a multi-purpose breakfast bar in the kitchen, which could be used both as a work station and for entertaining guests.  The main work area is a desk in Charlotte's bedroom, which was planned in detail as a functional space, but its important to personalise the space, especially in a bedroom.  Adding plants, pictures and good lighting is key to ensure you enjoy where you work, especially at home!
