1970s' Revival Bristol
Katy and Jon, Bristol
DESIGN BRIEF, PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS
In the midst of the chaotic process of moving into their characterful 1970s house in Bristol, Katy and Jon found themselves sharing the space with builders, embarking on a dream Jon had nurtured for years. Positioned on the route to Jon's workplace, the house had always captured his imagination, and when the opportunity to purchase it arose, he acted swiftly with just one visit, making an offer that turned it into the home for their young family. Now faced with the daunting task of transforming the house, how to breathe new life into their dream home?
Beginning their renovation journey, Katy and Jon focused on essential upgrades - plumbing, lighting, and flooring etc, together with enhancing the overall structural integrity. Luckily, no planned extensions needed, just redefining and configuring the existing space to suit family needs, setting the foundation for a thoughtful and functional home transformation.

Whole House Design
Eager to infuse their new home with personality with a nod to the 1970s, Jon and Katy wanted a lively and unified colour scheme, recognising the benefits of a whole-house approach for simplicity.
Opting for bold shades in the same tones, we achieved a cohesive and stress-free look reflective of their vibrant personalities.
Starting with the light and spacious kitchen/diner, we introduced vibrant colours, including a cosy banquette dining area, breakfast bar and large wall mural, sets an energetic tone for the entire house.
