Soft Minimalism

DESIGN BRIEF, PROBLEMS AND SOLUTIONS

Period houses are subjected to frequent restructures and change over the years and Louise' Victorian terrace had a confusing ground floor layout with two fireplaces, two sitting areas and a dining area in the centre.  We had to remove an awkward stub wall (left over from the last restructure) so the area could be opened up for a new layout of flexible seating.

Whole House Design

Final decor was soft minimalist, with natural accents.  This exactly suited Louise' style and personality and created further overall definition to the scheme.  The kitchen (also redesigned for a makeover) now had a dedicated dining area next to the kitchen which connected to the garden courtyard.


Louise loved the designs and her next plan is to install sliding doors in the kitchen to give access to the courtyard and have that neighbourly drink on the garden patio in warm weather.  Mine's a Pimms!
